John G. King Insurance is a full service independent agency established in 1924 in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. It specializes in property and casualty insurance for personal and commercial clients and offers life and disability products to existing clientele. Principal partner Jay King is a sixth generation insurance agent, and the agency takes a consultative approach as clients' needs change.
We designed and built the John G. King Insurance website to explain what an independent agent does and why it matters. The agency wants clients to understand every part of the coverage they receive. The site gives each line of coverage its own clear explanation and introduces the brokers who will walk clients through it.

The homepage starts with the agency's history and its view that a broker's duty is to the customer. A section titled What is an Independent Agent? explains how access to many insurance companies lets the agency fit policies to a client's life and budget. A testimonial and a link to the agency's Google reviews follow, then the full list of services.
Each service has its own description, covering commercial, contractor's liability, transportation, professional liability, personal insurance and life. Contractors can find a Certificates page in the main navigation for getting certificates to the right parties quickly. Broker bios, the office address near the Lexington History Museum and Cheapside Pavilion, phone, email and hours round out the page.

An image of a historic downtown building ties the agency to the part of Lexington where it has worked for decades, which suits a firm that leads with its local history.
